Annual Conference 2011
11th November 2010
We can now announce the theme for next year's FM Conference - 'For better or for worse: Making FM relationships work'.
The theme follows on from this year's conference, where Paul Crilly identified the difficulties in achieving goals when relationships are based on only half of the picture. Paul argued that to get maximum results, organisations should work together to address challenges, rather than commission prescriptive projects that set the 'how'.
This situation is typical of client-supplier relationships, but can equally apply to all partnerships.
This year's conference, titled 'Embracing Change in Times of Uncertainty', was a great success and attracted over 100 senior FM delegates despite the looming public sector cuts. With high profile speakers covering a multitude of topical issues, attendees left with new inspiration and confidence to tackle the challenges ahead.
The FM press called it "a fascinating event ... the place to be in the FM world".
